A new generation of artists, designers and independent creators is challenging conventions and expanding the boundaries of creative expression.

Across cities and communities, independent cultural spaces are creating opportunities for new voices, creative collaboration and meaningful public experiences.

Independent galleries, cultural centres and community studios are creating new opportunities for artists and audiences.

Libraries, studios and neighbourhood venues are becoming the shared living rooms of modern cities.

Self-directed artists are building audiences and careers on their own terms.

Late openings, digital programmes and co-created exhibitions are changing who walks through the doors.
